For those of you athletes, joggers, health nuts and weekend warriors, mark your calendar for Saturday, February 28, 2009. The Gasparilla Distance Classic has been around Tampa Florida for 30 years and has four separate races within a race; a 5K, 15K, Half Marathon and Marathon. Brief Race Description:
The 2009 Publix Super Markets Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend, presented by Sports Authority, offers a ‘distance and event for everyone,’ from infants in baby joggers to both competitive and recreational runners and walkers…the 15K, 5K, marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, Michelob Ultra Challenge and Bud Light Challenge.
Fees:
15K – $30 – after 02/01/09 $35
5K Run – $25 – after 02/01/09 $30
5K Walkers and adults pushing Baby Strollers – $25 (includes kids 5-years & older); $10 Stroller Roll Kids (4-years & under) – after 02/01/09 $30 & $15
Full – $85 – after 02/01/09 $100
Half – $50 – after 02/01/09 $65
Marathon Relay Team – $200 thru 02/15/09 (cut-off)
Michelob Ultra Challenge – $160 thru 02/15/09 (cut-off)
Bud Light Challenge – $125 thru 02/15/09 (cut-off)
